ANC national executive committee (NEC) deployee to the Eastern Cape Zizi Kodwa laid into opposition parties at the weekend, calling them "chameleons and wolves in sheep skins" who were not genuine about caring for citizens' challenges and issues.

Kodwa was addressing about 800 ANC members and supporters at the Sarah Baartman regional manifesto launch in Tsitsikamma on Saturday. He was drumming up support for the May 7 elections, saying if people did not vote for the ANC, its ancestors would turn on them.

"Opposition parties were formed to fight against the ANC and to try and stop the ANC's majority rule. Not every political party that will come here to talk about houses and job creation will mean that.
