OVER the last few months I have had members of the community contact me regarding overgrown verges of their neighbours.
It is the responsibility of the owners to cut their own lawns and keep them neat and tidy.
The cutting, or maintaining of public open spaces and parks is the responsibility of the municipality.
Due to financial constraints, maintenance of public open spaces and parks will be done during the second and third week of May. Normal maintenance will recommence from July.
Residents that see overgrown public spaces or parks can contact me and I will take up the matter with the relevant municipal department.
