OUTREACH: Cyclists Sid and Gail Unsworth arrived in Jeffreys Bay last Friday afternoon. The couple cycled from North Beach in Durban to raise funds for 17-year-old Kyle Skidmore, who needs a bone marrow transplant. Here they are with Charmaine (Sid’s sister) and Piet van der Walt. Kyle’s medical aid will cover the cost of the transplant, but not for the donor search and harvesting of stem cells, which costs between R150 000 and R250 000. The Unsworths managed to raise about R10 000. They flew back to Durban on Monday afternoon and will carry on with fundraising efforts/events in Durban.
