Bullet fired in anger ended teenager's life

ONE bullet fired in anger, at no one in particular, has left an innocent Cillie High schoolgirl dead and her family devastated.

Seventeen-year-old Victoria le Roux's dreams of pursuing a singing career overseas came to a devastating halt on September 21 when she was shot dead, allegedly by Carl Nasson, 22, at a tavern in Algoa Park.

Victoria, of Colchester, had been visiting friends in the area.

Her mom and stepdad fought back tears in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate's Court yesterday as the man who allegedly shot her applied for bail.

It emerged that Nasson's alleged reckless use of a firearm had landed him in court on two other occasions in the past.
