Otto win despite tough Cillie defence

OTTO du Plessis ran in five tries for a comprehensive 27-15 victory over Cillie in their schools rugby encounter at Cillie at the weekend.

The hosts were competitive for most of the match, but let Otto score two late tries which probably flattered the final margin of victory.

It was a great team effort from Otto, however, and the match was played in front of a large crowd.

Otto's tries were scored by centres Johndre Swart and Quetyn Oersen, wing Riaan Isaac, No 8 Dian Goosen and scrumhalf Damian de Laura. Flyhalf Rouchard Andrews kicked a conversion.

De Laura had an outstanding game, while Goosen and flank Charl Wait also played well.

For Cillie, fullback Dyllan Ambraal and lock Solomon Jordaan each scored a try, while flyhalf Dylan Mutsie kicked a penalty and a conversion.

Jordaan and loose forwards Jonah Mouers and JP Ferreira were impressive for the home side.
