Tariff hikes a pain in load-shedding wound

I HEARD that Eskom will be increasing the electricity tariffs by 13%. What a poor move from them.

South Africa is supplying most of the neighbouring countries with electricity. Last week we were told that we'll have a stage 3 load-shedding because we were using too much electricity and to inflict pain into the wound they announce this increment.

We have an abandoned power station in Swartkops. Nobody knows why it was left to rot and it is now a white elephant.

Not long ago the directors and managers of Eskom paid themselves performance bonuses and regarded themselves as the best team ever.

That money had a negative reflection on Eskom's bank account and as result Eskom is cash strapped and they are turning to the government with their cap in hand.

I am totally against this increment and we should fight this before it's too late.
