AN ode to Spain

There once was a country called Spain;

The world champs in 2010 campaign;

They thought they had much to gain.

They entered the 2014 World Cup, thinking they might do it again.

In their first match they suffered and endured much pain.

At the hands of the Dutch team whose country is known for its cheese,

with so much ease.

Spain became undone,

They were humiliated and annihilated! Score five to one.

Now for the second match, they tried a hot Chile,

A team they thought of willy-nilly.

The men from Spain,

got much more pain,

Because the Chile was too hot,

They won the match against Spain, two goals to naught.

Their tears fall like rain

As they exit the game

The team from Spain, who endured much pain.

Go home, with heads hanging in shame.

They were beaten in the country of Brazil,

Prescribed to take a chill-pill.

But bro that's the name.

O soccer, the beautiful game!
