Broken glass spoils Ocean Series

I WAS one of the unfortunate runners enjoying the usually impeccable Port Elizabeth beachfront on Sunday morning.

However, with much disappointment and damaged running shoes, I can report that due to the event held on Saturday evening, remnants of alcohol bottles and the like were scattered on walkways.

I cannot believe that the authorities would allow such a chaotic event.
