Rather postpone than drop case

HOW dare the justice system dismiss an attempted rape case just because the courts do not have an interpreter ("Fury in rape bid case", January 31)? This excuse is beyond the pale.
It just shows you just how important people who have been raped are to the justice system. In a worst case scenario this case should have been postponed.
In a best case scenario, in the event of there being no state interpreter ask a private person to be the interpreter. I am sure there are many people out there who would oblige.
Shame on the government and the justice system.
