Pensioner beaten up by robbers

A woman was attacked inside her Uitenhage flat during a robbery yesterday morning.
Atlas Security’s Monty Montgomery said the woman, 77, was beaten and hit in the face during a scuffle inside her Aaron Street flat.
“The woman was disoriented from the attack and was taken to hospital,” he said.
“The two men forced her security gate and kicked the door open.” The men stole her TV and drove off. Police spokeswoman Captain Gerda Swart confirmed that a case of house robbery was under investigation.
