Accidents on N2 see road closure

Port Elizabeth police have temporarily closed the N2 between Bay West Mall and Seaview due to several separate accidents on that stretch of road.
According to police, at about 5am the N2 was closed to prevent further accidents linked to stray animals in the road.
Emergency workers are on the scenes.
It is unclear at what time the road will be opened and how many accidents occurred on that stretch this morning. -Gareth Wilson
