British American Tobacco truck robbed in Uitenhage

AN estimate R200 000 worth of cigarettes were stolen from a British American Tobacco truck while it was offloading stock at a shop in Aalwyn Drive, Uitenhage.

Police spokesman Warrant Officer Basil Seekoei said the robbery happened at about 11am today (10/09/15).

Two of the robbers were posing as customers inside the shop at the time while additional suspects were waiting outside.

Currently police are still searching for the robbers and the two vehicles used to flee the scene.
