Two men arrested for possession of dagga

Two Tanzanian nationals were arrested today (21/08/2015) at about 11:00 in New Brighton, Port Elizabeth, for possession of dagga.

It is alleged that the two men, both 35-years-old, were driving recklessly with a white Ford Ikon on Mendi Road, New Brighton.

After being stopped by New Brighton Crime Prevention members, 12.73kg of dagga was found in plastic bags on the back seat of the vehicle.

The dagga has an estimated street value of R19 000.

Both suspects will appear in court soon. - The Herald
