Shot boy on mend after operation

THE family of a five-year-old Arcadia boy who was shot in the face over the weekend are heaving a sigh of relief as the boy begins his recovery from surgery at Livingstone Hospital.

The bullet which pierced Neilon Peters's cheek and lodged in his neck next to his spine was successfully removed at 9.15am yesterday.

Neilon was the unintended victim of a planned hit on his cousin, Rodwin Peters, 20 – who lives in the same Jenniker Street house – at 9pm on Saturday. Rodwin was not at home at the time.
