Ex-strategist to cost metro even more?

A FORMER political strategist in the office of deputy mayor Nancy Sihlwayi, Nobuntu Makapela, will now go to the Labour Court to force the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality to reinstate her.
Makapela's lawyer Andre Vlok wrote to the municipality yesterday saying she would approach the Labour Court for help and also ask that the court make a punitive cost order against the municipality.
Makapela was appointed as the strategic manager in the office of then deputy mayor Sihlwayi, but after she was redeployed by the ANC, deputy mayor Chippa Ngcolomba removed Makapela in April from his office and instructed the corporate service directorate to find her another job.
