Province's porn viewership high

YOU would think being conservative would prevent people from watching pornography online. But it might just be the exact reason people in the Eastern Cape watch more porn than any other province in South Africa.

Pornhub.com, one of the world's largest porn sites, recently released the results of a survey that showed people from the Eastern Cape spent on average 10 minutes and 39 seconds on the site every time they visited it. This is about 90 seconds more than the international average.

"These figures shed valuable light on a topic that people from the Eastern Cape, and South Africa as a whole, still have trouble talking about," clinical sexologist Leandie Buys said. "Our people don't easily admit to watching porn. And it is this conservative approach that might contribute to this figure."
