Mohair industry to open new PE offices
POSITIONING itself as the mohair capital of the world, Port Elizabeth will soon be home to new mohair industry offices.
Celebrating the official sodturning ceremony of the R8.2million headquarters in Walmer yesterday were representatives from Mohair South Africa, the Mohair Trust and the Mohair Empowerment Trust, who will from next year make the building their new home.
South Africa accounts for 53% of global mohair production and with Lesotho produces 70% of the world’s mohair.
