Workshop outlines many opportunities

A PROCUREMENT workshop has highlighted the opportunities that exist for small business owners in the Eastern Cape.

Senior procurement managers from Coca Cola Sabco, Sanral, Transnet, Aspen Pharmacare and Standard Bank explained how their supply chain and procurement departments operated and how to become a supplier on their database. The workshop, hosted by the Shanduka Black Umbrellas at the Feather Market Centre on Friday, highlighted requirements and regulations for firms to be registered.

A special request was made for black women-owned enterprises to become suppliers, and small contractors were encouraged to attend clarification meetings to network with contractors.
