Drop in mining production

MINING production decreased by 4.7% year on year in March.
Platinum group metals decreased by 44.3% and were a significant negative contributor (contributing -10.1 percentage points) to the 4.7% decrease.
Seasonally adjusted mining production decreased by 5.5% in March compared with February. This followed month-on- month changes of -5.7% in February and -3.7% in January.
Seasonally adjusted mining production decreased by 6.8% in the first quarter compared with the previous quarter. – BDlive
