Durbanville Hills: where city culture meets viticulture

Durbanville is not only a wine region but also a suburb of Cape Town, and Durbanville Hills winery emphasises its connection to the Mother City with its slogan, “where city culture meets viticulture”, and in the new Collector’s Reserve range named for distinctive city landmarks.

While Durbanville might seem quite far from the centre of Cape Town, a visit to Durbanville Hills is a good reminder of the connection, with the sweeping views down over the vineyards, across Table Bay to the city and mountain and the landmarks, such as the Company’s Garden, cableway, Green Point lighthouse and Signal Hill with its noonday gun lending their names to the wines...
