Two men have been arrested on attempted murder charges after they allegedly tried to kill a 33-year-old Joe Slovo man.

The police said the victim had been at his Vuzi Street home in Joe Slovo West when three armed men entered the house on Thursday night.

He was shot at three times and robbed.

The assailants fled on foot and the victim was rushed to hospital.

By 1am on Friday the first arrest had been made.

A follow-up resulted in the arrest of the second suspect, 28, in New Brighton. They will appear in court on Monday.
