Berita all tuned up for show in Nelson Mandela Bay

Award-winning musician Gugulethu Khumalo – better known as Berita – is in the Bay this weekend for a free concert.
Fresh from promoting her new single Ndicel' ikiss on Valentine's Day, she takes to the stage at Black Impala in Deal Party.
The afro soul artist said she was excited about promoting her single in the “month of love” as the song was about love shared and love given.
“My song is a very playful song that talks about love and how people should continue loving each other,” Berita said earlier this week.
“I've been getting positive feedback from my fans about the song.
“People love it so much and they are sending it to their loved ones, family and friends,” she said.
When asked about her plans for the future, Berita said she would love seeing more women taking charge in the music industry.
“If I could change anything in the music industry, I'd be a game-changer and put more women [in charge] since men are already dominating the industry.
“But it is changing now, women are stepping up,” the singer said.
Berita urged Bay residents to come out in numbers to enjoy the show. “My Port Elizabeth fans are very supportive people.
“Whenever I have a show they always come out in numbers to support me,” she said.
The singer is also working on her new album.
“Music is my calling, the year started on a great note for me and I’m positive that it will be a good year, especially now I want to build my career,” she added. Berita is performing at Black Impala at 6pm on Sunday (February 17). Entrance is free.
