Four men tied up a 71-year-old woman in her Kabega Park home on Friday.
Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu said the woman had been alone at home when she heard a noise at about 2am.
“She got up to check but saw nothing,” Naidu said.
“She went back to her room, where she was overpowered by four men,” she said.
The woman was ordered to lie on the floor and tied up. “Eventually she managed to get up.
“She sustained slight injuries to her neck.”
A TV, DVD player and jewellery were stolen. Police are investigating.
