Inxuba YeThemba Music Festival will rock Cradock

Zahara, Euphonik, DJ Sun EL FT Simmy, Dladla Mshunqisi and Holly Rey on the line-up

The second Inxuba YeThemba Music Festival is returning to Cradock in the Eastern Cape on Saturday December 15.
Eastern Cape singer-guitarist Zahara is one of the headline acts, along with national house DJ Euphonik, DJ Sun EL FT Simmy, gqom aritst Dladla Mshunqisi and Afro-house performer Holly Rey.
Other artists include DJs LV, Funksta, Welo, Road, Cy, Pastor, Snare, Enjoy and Abza, as well as Gino Ginelli, BO Kay and Rebel Rizz, and MamTshawe, Mafa and Mr Oryt will MC.
The 2018 theme is Bigger and Better, with the hashtags #Crarocks and #IYMF2018, and Inxuba Yethemba seeking to draw a crowd of more than 12,000 to the Lingelihle Stadium, which would be a large increase from 2017’s 7, 000.
The festival will host a variety of national South African and Eastern Cape artists, spanning many musical genres.
The festival is hosted by Ambience Entertainment, whose founder and CEO Marcus Moloeli said “the second annual Inxuba YeThemba Music festival will surely be bigger and better with a five- day programme that includes a comedy night and fashion”.
He said the idea behind the festival was to, “produce an event that seeks to not only entertain, but to give back to the community by engaging the local economy, and working together to procure and distribute panties and bras for disadvantaged young women in the region, as well as contribute to the economy of the region through the use of its SMMEs”.
Visitors are encouraged to bring daily essentials such as tinned food, deodorants, sanitary pads and non-perishable groceries for a charity drive after the festival.
Tickets are R150 (R300 VIP) on sale at Shoprite, Checkers and Computicket online. R100 gets your cooler box in.
Doors open at 11am, the music starts at 2pm and will play on until early on Sunday morning.
