Tavcor Commercial Old Grey will be out to defend their narrow one-point lead at the top of the table when they are hosted by SA Home Loans Union in the NMB Premier League on Saturday.
Old Grey started the season well but have had mixed results of late and will be desperate to get a win over Union.
They have a slender edge over second-placed BLG Gelvandale and will need to be at their best to beat a determined home team wanting to bounce back from defeat last weekend.
Old Grey also face United Brothers on Sunday and they, too, could prove to be a stumbling block.
Gelvandale have a doubleheader as well and will aim to pounce on any mistake made by Old Grey.
The Gelvan team are away to Despatch on Saturday and then face a tough fixture against Mecer Madibaz 1 at the campus on Sunday.
Defending champions Madibaz 1 are in catch-up mode after not playing 50-overs cricket in the first half.
They have only lost one game but will be tested against Jendamark United on Saturday.
