Kings' coaching dilemma

ONE of the first priorities facing EP Kings’ management ahead of the new season is to find a replacement for forwards coach Shaun Sowerby who has left Port Elizabeth for France.

One of the men who could be in line for the post is Kings' Vodacom Cup assistant coach Barend Pieterse who is highly regarded in coaching circles for his lineout work.

Another could be former Springbok prop forward Robbi Kempson, but his position of EP Kings Academy manager could rule him out.

Another post that needs to be filled is that of defence coach.

Though there has been no official announcement, defence guru Omar Mouneimne, formerly of the Southern Kings and Edinburgh, looks set to replace Michael Horak who has left to join the Sharks.
