Job almost done for Young Stars

MABABAL Young Stars have one hand firmly on the Nodefa VW Community Trust Premier League following their 2-1 win over Manchester Babes.

With three matches remaining, Stars have a nine-point lead and far superior goal-difference over Kabah United Brothers, who drew 2-2 with Manchester United.

At the bottom of the log Young Pirates, who lost 3-0 to Khayelitsha Stars, cannot avoid relegation even if they win their remaining matches.

In the First Division, Temptation pipped Highland Spurs by one point to clinch the title. CALLIES made up for their 6-0 drubbing by Vodacom NMMU Madibaz last week when they thrashed Motherwell Academy 9-0 in a Pefa Premier League fixture played at Londt Park.

A brace each by Kurt Petersen and Jonathan Hop Hing and one each by Joshua Knipp and Zaahid Dolley saw Callies leading 6-0 at half time.

After substitute Jerry Mqweniso equalised for Forresters, Ihabo Jboz Mabona and Yaya Gadlela gave Forresters maximum points.
