New EP Cricket board boss pledges to resolve problems
By Dorette De Swart - 31 March 2014
NEWLY-ELECTED Eastern Province Cricket president Donovan May has promised to put the troubled organisation back on the map.
May won the battle for the hot seat of EP Cricket when he beat Gary Paul 34-13 in Saturday’s reconvened election. Former president Graeme Sauls withdrew from the race on Saturday morning before the vote and Malcolm Figg did so earlier last week.
“I would rather focus on the present than the past. The new board has a challenging road ahead,” May said. “I don’t want to hear about them and us, we need to work together for the good of EP Cricket.
