More lifeguards urgently needed to guard Nelson Mandela Bay’s beaches

As the summer season peaks, the risk of accidents and tragedies grows at Nelson Mandela Bay beaches. Despite the promise of lifeguards at Blue Horizon Bay, Maitlands, Sardinia Bay, and Brighton beaches by October 1, they remain unguarded. 

The call for 10 seasonal lifeguards went out in July, but as the summer heat drives crowds to the shore, no-one is still watching over them at the four beaches...
