Be wary of ‘investments’ with unrealistic returns
The elderly and the desperate — and, yes, in many cases, the greedy — these are the people who usually fall prey to scamsters through pyramid and Ponzi schemes, and a multitude of other get-rich-quick schemes.
Despite repeated warnings in the media, from the Reserve Bank, the SA Banking Risk Information Centre and others that anything that seems too good to be true usually is a scam, people continue to be sucked into these schemes...
