Matters made worse

KAZEKA Mashologu Kuse's column this week about Lindiwe Mazibuko and the DA ("Helen Zille, black women are not your tea girls", May 20) comes hot on the heels of the Sunday Times report on Sunday. Is the information contained in that report what spurred her on to write her column or does she have the actual facts?

News must have been slow on Sunday – the whole article smacks of political mischief. Kuse referring to the madam and the tea girl in her article did not flatter Mazibuko, but makes matters worse, I feel.

If there was a problem between Mazibuko and the DA I am sure she would have resigned a long time ago – she has a voice and is not a tea girl! Instead she is taking up the opportunity to enhance her career and will be well groomed to take up an active part in politics on her return, should she wish to do so.

Newspapers are like a dog with a bone, determined to make something out of every snippet of information.
