No freedom for us to celebrate

WE celebrated Freedom Day on Sunday and yet I beg to differ. We do not have the freedom to go for a walk at night, we do not have economic freedom as seen by the results of the stock exchange and the severe poverty that surrounds us.

We do not have the freedom to employ the most suitable candidate, we do not have the freedom to elect the most promising sportsman. I do not know why we celebrated.

Maybe the fat cats do. At least, they look happy and free, driving their soft tops and luxury cars. Maybe they can enlighten us?
