Experts to work on repairs at Bay pool

THE article entitled “Plan to fix pool deviates from tender rules” (March 25) covers the committee requesting a deviation from the tender process to appoint a company to fix speedily the Newton Park Swimming Pool. Concerns were raised that the company did not meet the minimum competencies.

It is a pity that a vital piece of information that could set readers’ minds at rest was omitted from the article. The company in question will be using two companies that are experts in the specialised field of laying pool tiles, grouting, expansion issues. etc.

They are well known in the industry and are on the products manufacturers’ list of approved fitters.
