Spearfisherman bites off a little more than he can chew

A Bay spearfisherman got more than he bargained for during a recent outing at Beachview when a large white shark snatched the musselcracker he had just shot and then made off with the fish, his buoy, his spear gun and his car key.

Spearfisherman Dylan van Tonder, 32, a former bodyboard champ, said he was hoping someone might find the buoy washed up — and it would be even better if his spear gun and key were still attached...
