Two EC hospitals in bed and staff crisis

Two “underdeveloped” Eastern Cape hospitals have been identified as the reason for the bed shortage crisis at Frere Hospital's overwhelmed orthopaedic ward, where patients sleep on the floor for days at a time waiting for beds.

But the situation is no better at the orthopaedic wards of Frontier Hospital in Komani, a regional facility, and Cecilia Makiwane hospital in Mdantsane...
