Two more suspects on 'wanted' list arrested, bringing total to four

22 pictures of wanted suspects were published in The Herald on Friday

The number of people arrested since HeraldLIVE published a list of wanted suspects on Friday has risen to four.
The suspects’ photographs were among 22 published for whom police had issued warrants of arrest in connection with a range of crimes including murder and robbery dating back to 2012.
In the latest arrest, police nabbed Nkosi ‘China’ Mbumbatho at 3am on Monday for a murder he allegedly committed in Algoa Park in June 2015 in Algoa Park.
“A person recognised the wanted suspect in the Bethelsdorp area. The detective was alerted and followed up on the information which in turn led the team to a house he was hiding at in Bethelsdorp. He was detained for the murder,” police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu said.
Siyabulela Nopote, 30, who had been wanted for allegedly robbing Marshall World of Sports at the Boxer Complex in Motherwell in August 2018 was arrested in Grahamstown in connection with a robbery there.
“The suspect [Nopote] was arrested after a tip-off to Grahamstown detectives led to him being traced to an address in their area. He was arrested for the robbery in Grahamstown area and the Motherwell detectives were alerted,” Naidu said.
“He is currently in custody and once he appears in court in Grahamstown he will be transferred to Port Elizabeth where he will be charged in the Motherwell Magistrate’s Court for the [Marshall World of Sports] armed robbery.”
Earlier, police arrested two other suspects – Ibrahim Moodley and Ricky Leander – on Friday.
PLEASE NOTE: The suspects' faces have been blurred as, in terms of the law, once suspects are arrested, their photographs may not be published until they have appeared in court.
