Police search for missing Lorraine woman



Police are looking for a 27-year-old hairdresser from Lorraine who is believed to have been missing since December 23.
Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu said that detectives were looking for Nina Thompson, an alleged drug user, who failed to return home.
“She left with a friend who also cannot be located. She (Thompson) is driving a metallic blue Kia with registration number DWM 307 EC. The vehicle was spotted on CCTV footage at a garage in William Moffett on 8 January 2019,” she said.
“Unconfirmed reports alleged that the vehicle was seen in the Sydenham area in Port Elizabeth on 15 January 2019.”
Officials confirm that the vehicle has also been spotted in the Lorraine area.
Naidu said that her parents have opened a missing persons case which is being investigated.
“At this stage, we are unsure of the circumstances of the disappearance.”
Naidu added that anyone who spots the car should contact detective Warrant Officer Huligonda Smuts on 041 581 1496 or 10111.
