Spaza shop owner stabbed to death



An Ethiopian spaza shop owner died after being stabbed several times outside his shop in Gelvandale.
The man, who according to police is known to his friends and associates as Getenfe, died in hospital.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Alwin Labans said on Sunday the details were sketchy but the attack had taken place at about 11.30pm on Saturday.
“He parked outside the shop. He was confronted by a man, who then stabbed him multiple times while another person inside the shop ran outside,” Labans said. “Nothing appears to have been stolen.”
