Manhunt for suspect underway in Walmer

A manhunt is underway for a suspect who is believed to have escaped from police custody in Walmer on Friday.

Police remain tight lipped and are not commenting on the incident at this time.

The police helicopter is currently searching  Walmer with several police and security vehicles scouring the streets.

Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu said that she was still waiting to get information on the incident.
