Student robbed at knifepoint in home

A 26-year-old student was robbed inside her Summerstrand home by two men, one armed with a knife, at the weekend.
Police spokesman Captain Johan Rheeder said the incident happened at 2.30am yesterday in Millard Crescent while the woman was sleeping.
“The woman woke up after hearing glass shattering in one of the bedrooms,” he said.
“She reached for her phone to call for help but by the time she managed to dial out, the men were inside her bedroom.
“They demanded a cellphone and laptop while holding her at knifepoint.”
The items were handed over and the men fled.
A case of house robbery is under investigation.
