East London drug traffic ring busted

A drug smuggling ring operating in East London was dismantled earlier this week and drugs valued at over R3.5 million confiscated, police announced today.
The bust was dubbed Operation Damon and also led to the arrest of 15 suspected drug dealers and the confiscation of R4 million in cash.
All the suspects are due to appear in the East London Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
