Heart super specialist back in city

The East Cape's first electrophysiologist was born and bred in Port Elizabeth's northern areas, and he has returned to his hometown to help those with heart conditions.

Dr Neil Hendricks is a specialist in the field of cardiology which deals with heart rhythms and is opening a cardiology practice at Netcare Greenacres Hospital. He was the first Life Healthcare Electrophysiology Fellow at the University of Cape Town in 2010.

He grew up in Gelvandale and attended several high schools because of teacher shortages before matriculating from St Thomas Senior Secondary School.
