Man in hospital after shooting

A 31-YEAR-old Port Elizabeth man is recovering in hospital after he was shot in the mouth in Grogro township near Sherwood at the weekend.

A suspect has been arrested and is expected to appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate's Court today on a charge of attempted murder.

Police spokesman Captain Johan Rheeder said the incident occurred at around 7pm on Saturday.

The victim was rushed to hospital where he is in a stable condition.

A motive for the shooting is not yet known. – Kathryn Kimberley
