Davies undertakes to assist Nafcoc with problems

TRADE and Industry Minister Rob Davies yesterday undertook to step in to help address challenges raised by black business organisation Nafcoc in Nelson Mandela Bay, such as their struggle to land major contracts and not being paid for government work on time.

Davies was part of a high-powered delegation of ministers that accompanied President Jacob Zuma on his monitoring programme in the city yesterday.

The National African Federated Chamber of Commerce (Nafcoc) was among business and civil society organisations that met Zuma and the ministers at a closed session at the Port Elizabeth City Hall. - Mkhululi Ndamase and Rochelle de Kock
