Determined mayor reveals bold plan to boost Bay future

MAYOR Ben Fihla has unveiled a bold plan to reposition Nelson Mandela Bay as a globally competitive city by focusing specifically on the development of transport, township, property and economic infrastructure over his next three years in office.

Fihla will put together a high-powered team made up of some of the best brains in the city who will draw up business plans and mobilise funding for the infrastructure projects, which he hopes will give the city’s economy a much-needed boost.

Delivering his state of the metro address at the Feather Market Centre last night, Fihla called on all Bay residents to send him their wish lists for the city’s development over the next 30 years, dubbing it Vision 2045.
