Hawks on trail of PE man up for fraud

A PORT Elizabeth man wanted for allegedly defrauding companies of tactical bulletproof vests, decommissioned guns and other gadgets worth R350 000 is on the run from police and believed to be hiding out in Nelson Mandela Bay.

Members of the Hawks said yesterday Marius Cloete, who runs a Port Elizabeth company called Traffic and Collision Directorate, is wanted for a string of fraud cases stretching as far as Gauteng.

The company offers accident scene investigations. Attempts to contact the company yesterday on its listed numbers proved futile.
