Madibaz unable to thwart Ikeys' powerful attack

THE Madibaz lost their unbeaten record when they crashed to a 26-13 defeat against the University of Cape Town in a hard-fought Varsity Cup match played at the NMMU Stadium last night.
After winning their opening two matches against the Maties and the University of Johannesburg, the Madibaz were stopped in their tracks by a determined Ikeys outfit who managed to out muscle the home side.
Defence had been a key part of the success story for the Madibaz in their opening games, but last night they were unable to keep out a forceful Ikeys combination.
