Roadlink passengers stranded for days

THE SA Roadlink offices at Greenacres, Port Elizabeth, were turned into a makeshift bedroom by angry commuters who have camped there for the past few days. Some of the passengers have been left stranded at the office since last Thursday after a bus in which they were meant to travel broke down. They spent their days and nights at the Ring Road premises sleeping on their luggage and sharing what blankets they had among them. Initially there were more than 40 people camping out at the office, where they shared one toilet. Some later left. Yesterday, the remaining 20 passengers protested outside the office, carrying placards and writing – with red lipstick on the office windows – that they wanted refunds.
