Rhodes students go out on limb to protect trees


SEVERAL Rhodes students and lecturers chained themselves to an oak tree for more than four hours yesterday in protest against a lack of transparency with the Grahamstown university's development plans.


The protesters chained themselves to one of the trees due to be chopped down to make way for the new Rhodes Life Sciences Building.
