Bay students on the rampage

DOWER campus students yesterday blocked the entrance to the facility in Port Elizabeth's northern areas, set alight rubbish and damaged a vehicle in a protest over a year-end party and hostel conditions.
Police, security guards and two close protection security officers were deployed at the scene after 8am, where the protesting students demanded to speak to college management about a year-end function which they had hoped would take place on Saturday but had not yet been arranged.
